An art lover with a background rooted in architecture and archaeology, ARKEO has embarked on a unique artistic journey that blends managerial experience and creative vision. Since 2015, his journey has led to the birth of a personal visual language, culminating in the ARKEO Industriale project, which later evolved into ARKEO small gallery with the 2017 purchase of the space on Via Val d’Aposa in Bologna.
His works emerge from a dreamlike immersion that harks back to a primitive spirituality, expressed through the creation of anthropomorphic sculptures. Using found objects—tools and materials from the past—ARKEO creates figures that transcend their material origins to become custodians of a universal message.
ARKEO’s works follow a process inspired by philosophical alchemy. The objects, often obsolete and oxidized, go through three main phases: Putrefaction, Purification, Recomposition, representing a dialogue between the past and the present. future, where each work becomes a testament to the regenerative power of creativity.
ARKEO’s seemingly inanimate sculptures come to life through evocative figures such as the “figure with the mask.” This archetype, which recalls both shamanic myth and the contemporary “avenger,” represents the universal interpreter of symbolic actions. The works, rich in spiritual and philosophical meaning, invite the public to rediscover the soul hidden within objects and reflect on their role in the narrative of our existence.
Following the sale of the Small Gallery, at the beginning of 2024, thanks to the friendship and support of the S.A.P. Association of Engineers, SpazioARKEO (a permanent exhibition space for Arkeo works) was created in the 19th-century S.A.P. Courtyard in the center of San Giorgio di Piano (Bologna).
In October 2025 in Rome, ARKEO won First Prize at the 2025 International Expo Amedeo Modigliani Foundation.
In February 2026, SpazioARKEO moves to Borgo Isolani in Minerbio (BO).
In 2026, ARKEO will participate as an exhibiting artist, with the monumental sculpture “Dama de las Identidades,” at the 61st Venice Art Biennale 2026.
ARKEO does not simply create works: it aspires to make each sculpture a message to be transmitted and shared.
Its works are a bridge between collective memory and the imagination of the future, an invitation to reflect on the role of art as a catalyst for change. With a language that combines symbolism, spirituality, and innovative techniques, ARKEO continues to define new horizons for contemporary sculpture, guiding us boldly toward the future.”
