Examples for commissioned painting 

Thomas Düwer, born in 1959, became an independent artist in September 2018. His parents recognized his talent early on. When he emigrated to Southern California with his family at the age of 10, at the age of 13 he had the opportunity to regularly visit an artists' colony for a year. There his talent was encouraged and he was taught various painting techniques. Only 5 years later, the family returned to Germany and he completed his Abitur (art advanced course) in May 1979. A year later he was accepted to study art at the Braunschweig Art University, but never began his studies for personal reasons. Thomas preferred to pursue a career in the insurance and real estate industries. He painted again and again during this professional period - also as a way to balance out the daily challenges of his job. He always representational painting. Over the course of his professional years, he created many oil paintings, most of which he gave away to friends and relatives. He has now become a photorealist artist and has been exhibiting at the GALERIE K43 art gallery in Hannover since April 2022.
